  • Today is an ALERT DAY and Excessive Heat Warnings, Heat Advisories and Severe Thunderstorm Watches are out across the area. Although storms will only be isolated to scattered in nature throughout the rest of our Friday, any storm that does form could produce strong, damaging winds and large hail. Another chance for stronger storms arrives overnight into the early morning hours of our Saturday. Our feels like temperatures are also in the dangerous range, with many feeling over 110 degrees. This potential for dangerously hot and muggy conditions takes us all the way through the weekend, thus an ALERT DAY has been issued for Saturday and Sunday as well.

Take frequent breaks from the outdoors and drink plenty of fluids! Also be sure to grab the First Alert Weather App so you can check radar and temps before heading out the door. More seasonable temperatures and better storm chances return by next week!
